Right now we are at 0 degrees with winds at 35-40 MPH.  No more shoveling for me today....not now at least LOLOL   I'll wait till the winds stop blowing and the snow stops snowing.

There have been times in the past two decades here in the Tx. Panhandle that heavy and constant snow fall "banks up" real bad, banking off medians with trees and the overpasses.   I have seen where some roads were totally impassable till the utility trucks came in and used big heavy dump truck mounted snow blowers to make tunnels through so cars could pass.  Made quite a sight!
I still think it all looks beautiful.  But now, I have to leave it to the younguns to get out and play in it!

In 1974 I was in a boarding school in Austin Texas. That year we had a heavy snowstorm that banked up like you described, McG. We decided to have a snowball war between all the dorms. The night before the event, we went out and use sprayed water to freeze our snow fort solid. We had tunnels through the snowbanks nearby that we made use of. I came up which a snowball slingshot that could launch snowballs a long way. I made it from an old bicycle innertube. Needless to say, our team won the war! We were accused of cheating, but we told everybody that was butt hurt over it "All's Fair in Love and War!" LOL

Hi y'all!   Merry Christmas!   Last night, my bro-in-law and I were just talking about how nice a day  it turned out to be, and how bloomin' COLD the NOAA Local WX site said it was gonna be this morning.  They was right, wow!  WINTER is HERE now, too, neighbors!  I woke at 2 am, was right cold.  I got up to go to bathroom, and just left my rooms door open and cranked that gas heater up some more.  Got fresh coffee and back at desk, saw NOAA warning us to take steps to protect pipes,  plants and all the pets.  YUP.  -1°F (real) with 25 mph winds and snow with wind chill at something like -28°F.     I see too tomorrow will be a bit warmer, low of +18°F.   I pick up the last groceries of the year tomorrow.  WOW.   From running around in TShirt and basketball shorts to that kinda freezing, overnight.  So I am sitting here with a fleece throw over my legs, and that feels great!  :D

Got all my shopping ect. completed. Except for the cooking, Christmas is a wrap.
Storm's a comin'. Got lot's of rye and Boneshaker IPA. I'm good to go.

Good Morning to all....

Was out at 6:30AM Shoveling so I could bring my Trash Barrels back into their spot before they got blown away....Garbage Day on the day of a Blizzard...not a good combination.  But the winds weren't bad as they are going to get yet and only had about 4" of snow on the ground.  It's coming down hard now....

Got a ton of stuff to get done in the next few days so I'll be in and out of here. 

Thanks for the Fafnir...I'll need at least 2 or 3 pots of coffee today....

The textures pack is just for one of the hats, but they are awesome looking. Got the Hat collection downloaded, and the texture pack for the one hat. Looks as though I'll be having fun making textures for the other hats. I'll be making them for the one the textures pack is for also.
