On a somber note, I just found out about two hours ago that my oldest cousin on my mother's side of the family suffered a massive heart attack and has died. He was younger that me. We had just reconnected with each other about two months ago, and now suddenly he's gone. May God rest his soul. I am mourning for him now. I'm not in the mood for doing any art on my computer at this time. The news just took it out of me. He has now only one surviving immediate family member; his youngest sister. I know she is feeling bad about it now. His twin sister died about 3 decades ago, from complications in childbirth. Both of their parents are now gone also.
In the last year my family has lost four members. The one before my cousin was my oldest sister's husband, who was a good friend to me and my cousin that just passed today. That was two months ago. My cousin and I had reconnected at his funeral.

Oh, wow! Condolences to you and your family. It just sucks, these holidays' transitions. I understand how you feel right now. I am still grieving for my brother who was killed 2 years ago. They say that as time passes, it gets easier to bear. They lied! It doesn't, but you carry on the best way you can and try to honor their memory.

Me and my brother too! Here in Georgia the temperature is supposed to drop to the low teens F. Not sure if our heat will be adequate. Gonna be trickling the water to save our pipes. Our place is not well insulated. We are worried for our cats also. We will be trying to keep ourselves and them warm. Gonna need to put another pair of pants on over the two I'm already wearing, and will be wearing my jacket and thick beanie for the duration.
