Welcome, and how may I help you?

Come visit with all in here, have some coffee or your favorite beverage, and have loads of fun. The bar staff and keeper are always here to fill your orders. This is our gathering place where we will share greetings, pass secrets, gossip, and enjoy each other's company.

Jherrith has agreed to fire up the grill on the weekends with some of his tasty specials.....and the COFFEE will always be hot and fresh, especially with Fafnir and his bevy of waitresses.

Quakes.   We have had almost nothing at all since Fracking was banned up here.   No spontaneous ground fires, no breaking freeways, no gouting flames up out of the kitchen sinks, no homes or businesses suddenly becoming split level(s).   Naturally all the energy companies were shifting blame off their works onto everything and everyone else.  Hmpfh.

I've been shoveling every two hours just so I don't have to tackle 9 tons of wet snow....and it's still coming down....I think we went over the 12" mark....and now the wind is picking up and branches are breaking on my neighbors trees across the street (pine trees) and the lights flickered a couple of times...Should be a interesting night LOL

Well, it appears it is winter in Texas now.  20F this morning, and 38F right now.  Wind is calm, was 40-50 and snow everywhere.  Now it is just spots in the shade.    My day late Christmas present to self was a 12.3" Surface Pro 5th gen bundle.  Got the Surface pro, stylus, wireless mouse, and waiting on the Type Cover (tomorrow).  But it works great!   It be a nice one to have around the house, as BadMoonRYZEN ain't so portable!   Hey I can even 'cast' the Surface screen to the 40" TV!  :D

I've still got my Walmart HP rebuilt which I love.  It's not for anything but browsing the net, checking EMails, and things like that....maybe a game or two...who knows....The 15" screen is still awesome....But the computer does not cast anything LOLOL...but there were a few times I was tempted to cast it...

We are at 27 degrees but this weekend...the North Pole visits us with it's below ZERO temps.  Going to fill the vehicle up tomorrow and get some Heet into it....

New Zealand had the most earthquakes...not small ones either...so glad I no longer live there pdg...
Its funny that the only time I know about the quakes here is when one of my friends says/posts on FB something about it lol. I have even been known to sleep through one that had friends just a block away falling out of bed and cracking the house foundations  :whattodo:

Wet snow for me. Could have kept it to yourself TL. It'll be rain later. I hope. Away from the Lakeshore is a different story. Lots of snow. No rain.

You know me....I LOVE sharing with my friends....  Still coming down but light flutters instead of soccer balls....

Doing the shoveling all day saved me from try to shovel 12" of SUPER wet snow all at once.  Took less them 1/2 hour each time I went out to shovel.  If I waited for the snow to end....I would have taken twice as long due to having to take breaks so the heart wouldn't quit :thud:

I have the Electric SnowJoe but it's not made for this super heavy snow.  I've used it on heavy snow and it worked fairly well...and on light snow it's super....but this stuff was like moving a pallet of bricks with a shovel.

Good morning everyone...

Dreamer I remember going to walk into the dairy (convenience store) where I worked in NZ and just as I got to the doorway an earthquake hit...next minute I was standing about 3 foot inside the shop watching all the stock falling off the shelves...yep they can be scary things.

Cause I have balance issues it often takes me a sec to realise that its not just me going up and down  :odd: I've never found them particular worrying but then never been in one big enough to knock stuff off shelves, rattle the crockery and set the lights swinging sure but that was it.
Where about in NZ were you?
