Thanks McGrandpa. I don't think we ever got to know each other before I had to leave but I was a member here about 15 years ago.

No worries Hip. Reality has a bad habit of encroaching on our home within home.
Keep smiling,

it makes people wonder what you're up to.

Sorry to be MIA for a good bit guys.  Seems my internet got real wonky on me.  Storms in the area must have knocked it off the air.  Had to reset a couple of times in order to get this much.  Been raining off and on for the last two days.
Hipshot

Right, 'ere we go.  Roll cross country and go through the ditch . . . fire main gun to look . . . Oooops.  Is it supposed to do that?

Which by the way we have skies that remind one of "the oncoming storm" :rainy: then again it might just pass us by ... anyone has a coin please flip it for me ... I call heads ....
4 days and 4 pages late to this conversation.   I'd still like to mention some of THE most memorable reads I can happily still recall.    The Soul Rider Saga, 5 thick paperback volumes.  Kinda tough following contiguity in certain spots but Chalker was great at colorful description.   Also his "Well World" series, or Nathan Brazil whichever ya like calling it.  Not as thick but several quick and enjoyable reads there as well.   Author is Jack L. Chalker.  I think he passed away years ago, sadly.  I should locate the full Nathan Brazil set.  I have the whole Soulrider set, in paperback.    Good for a re-read around now!  :D    Been a long while since I sat me down to reading paper books, about time I did some.   The last was Christopher Paolini's  Inheritance Cycle.  Starts off with ERAGON.   I know I know, they were written by a teenager FOR teens,  but I found them very entertaining, to tell the truth.  Loved the books, hated the movie.  Something that drives me a lot with authors is their character development.  I have read many authors that didn't seem to care as much about that as they did creating their universe in text.  But me I gotta have great characters inhabiting that universe!   Chalker and Paolini do that well.  Thanks guys!

My miss understanding, I thought you were talking about work you do for a living and not about where you live.  At lease you got some of it aired and hope it helps to relieved some of the stress.  Happy Birthday to the Hamsters too.
Oh no, and if a part of me wishes to work at home (not noisy, just computer work like I do most of time), the other part of me knows I have the risk to be interested to see what happens on the forum during work time.
Working not far away from home is enough I think.

:lostme:  Maybe a Thick Blanket for those poor fuzzy Friends For sound Proofing?
Would have to be a huge large blancket to disminish the noise. Depends also from where comes the noise. The "corridor" in each flat is sometimes like a resonance box.

In fact, the location contract says we haven't the right to use a drill in walls. There are already holes did and left by previous people, not allowed but the owner decided like they are here they can be used.
And if we have works to do, we have to warn neighbors. It was what happened in June when the couple in face of the flat had a flood after a pipe broke up. And I know the poors were telling "sorry" again and again before the disaster when of course they weren't responsibles. I wasn't home when the accident arrived; and was home when works were did.

Thank you for hamsters  :peek: They appreciated their pumpkin seeds for today. They know it's a special day when they have them during the week, in addition of each Sunday. And they ate them immediately when they checked their food plates :tearlaugh: Not in the cheeks, directly under the teeth.
