Hmmm! I played D&D for a few weeks, but lost interest, perhaps too quickly. It's not that I did not enjoy playing; rather it's because I have other interests that are far more enjoyable. The character I was playing was a Tiefling.

Many of our group moved on to other things around the same time, which threw a big monkey wrench into the mix. Certain plans were not getting implemented, because key players were not there to do their parts. When a game like D&D loses key players, it practically destroys the storyline.

I still have my multiple dice that have different numbers of sides. My biggest one has 100 sides, and my favorite one has 13.

So I made up another game that uses all of the many different dice. The game is called "Score", and it involves math. Certain colored dice determine what functions are used for a roll. A twenty sided dice with a four sided dice tells us which dice to use in a particular role. The score for one roll is the sum of all dice rolled and calculated according to the functions determined.

A game can have just one roll after the determiners are rolled for each player (called Quick Score), or from four to ten rolls per player (called Long Score). In each case the opponent to the left of the person whose turn it is, rolls the determiner dice to determine how many and which types of dice are rolled, and which mathematical functions will be used, and how those functions are applied. When playing the game it is a must to have at least one calculator handy. A notebook and pen is used to record all aspects of the game, so it is advised to have one of those handy also. I have also used MS Office Excel to create a computer scoring spreadsheet. In Excel the calculations can be done without the need for a calculator.

This game was invented by me, because of all the different dice I acquired for D&D. I wanted to find, or create new ways to use those dice. So I at least have D&D to thank for giving me a reason to invent the game of Score.
DAZ Studio, Bryce, Poser, Wings 3D, Howler, Blender, PSP, Hexagon, MSO PowerPoint & Word, just a few of the programs I use.

Good morning, parkdalegardener and sandbie too if you're still here.

The days blur together for me anyway but working with a company in Australia confuses me even more.   :whattodo:

Good Morning Indeed.....And yes....tis HUMP DAY.....which....at one time in my life...meant something :java:

PDG....We are sitting at 12 degrees and WINDY this morning....But no storms even though they predicted them.   I just saw on the news that Chicago had some tornadoes touch down.  They were predicting them for us....  Guess Mother Nature figured we had enough for the time being.

Morning Sir Knight....Hope the day goes fast for you....Being that it's Hump Day.......And when I worked with other countries, at times I actually had to stay up half the night to wait for teleconferences to start.  Got worse when the internet came around....LOL....

Thanks for the :java: Fafnir....I think I can lift my super sized coffee mug now without my arm falling off....

And good Morning to all that are out and about but not seen.....Hope the day will be a awesome one.

Wednesday now?  Already?  Good.  Whew, yesterdays outing to the VA was a rough one.   I was to get a cat scan of foot/leg to see whassup with flow.   I am thinking, not so good.   Expected though.   It is what the last year of hurry up and wait stuff has been about.
Good news, with the sugar down so low, it isn't way worse than it is already.   Sigh.   Doing best I can folks.  Trying hard to keep as much of my old body parts attached that I can!
