Thanks Sanbie. The event is tomorrow, on Saturday. It was going to be me, all my brothers and sisters, and their family members that were able to make it, but the high price of gas threw that plan out the window in a stiff wind.

first lady couldn't find vein   other lady hit vein  first time  for 2 blood draws

Yeah as I've got older...they are finding it very hard to find the vein...that's when you become like a pin cushion!

Alcohol keeps the blood thin and free flowing. I outta know <g> Helps with the damn cold too. -21c I mean really? Haven't we got over that by now? Sucks. Better be warmer tomorrow. I no longer have a lift and it was too damn cold to push a buggy this morning out for groceries this morning.

No Ed anymore for groceries. He got a new job this week. Well; he's turning 60 in March so they are giving him a day shift. The construction on the new residential tower in his parking lot has started and sleep during the day is all but non-existent. Started last fall and is happening for the next three years. Told the company get it together or he has to walk. He's getting to old to work all night and stay awake all day. They gave him a Monday to Friday 9 to 5 Big Boss Man gig. He's happy, His wife's happy, His kid's pissed. Now he has to get his own car instead of taking Ed's to work every day. He works about an hour and a bit away by car. Transit really is a pissy option if he has to take it.

OK dumb question; I should probably look up so as not to display my ignorance. Do the trees change colour and lose their leaves come Fall? After all; that's why we call it that, and not Autumn around here. No. Really. It's a serious question.

Not a dumb question park. As a general yes. Although sometimes leaf can happen sooner or later depending on things.. Leaves here really didn't start falling til late November/early December this year.

My blood is thin anyway. If I get a serious cut. I bleed a lot, if I don't pinch it off until it coagulates. Takes about 20 to 30 minutes to do that! So I do all I can to keep my cuts as small as possible. My blood is also iron poor, meaning my hemoglobin is low. To compensate my lungs are about 20 t0 25 percent larger than most men my size, which works out for me as a singer, because it allows me to sustain notes insanely long. LOL

Someday soon I'll upload a recording of me and my brother singing. We used to have a band with my youngest sister, and we had a good local following. Nothing like sibling harmony!
