Good Morning to all,

I would have been in here sooner but Henrietta ate breakfast to fast this morning I guess.  After breakfast she jumped on my bed...which wasn't made yet because they BUG ME until I feed them....and baptized my sheets and part of the bedspread.  Needless to say....I've been busy doing laundry....and no....No scolding or yelling...just told her to slow down on the eating....and next time pick Lornas bed.  :java:

Other then that....confused as always....thought I had a ultrasound scheduled for today...got all prim and proper...waited for the phone to remind me about the appointment....NOTHING....looked at the calendar...and the appt is for tomorrow morning :thud:

I think after the laundry is done I'm going back to bed and start the day all over...

Tis 31 degrees but I guess we'll be at 53 for a high later in the day....One hell of a Winter....Don't know how to dress anymore.  By Wednesday we'll be close to 60 degrees....:thud:

SAND SPRINGS, Okla.  —

An Oklahoma woman is about to turn 100, but it's really only her 25th birthday.

Mary Forsythe was born on Feb. 29, 1924 — Leap Day.

And since leap years come around every four years, she will technically celebrate her 25th birthday this year.

The party got started a little early as the Sand Springs community gathered to celebrate Forsythe.

History.com says only about 5 million people worldwide have a Leap Day birthday and that the odds of being born on Leap Day stand at about 1-in-1,461.

Time for a beer. It is/was Prove Your Poverty Day otherwise known as lease renewal. As we all know I live Rent Geared to Income. In order to qualify every year for RGI I must prove I'm poor by giving up last years tax return. The government is my landlord and they want to know every little detail of my life or they bump my rent up to the going rate. The pdg moves out of here and in to the bushes in High Park behind the second tree to the left rate. I'll be training the squirrels to run a treadmill in order to power the computers.

This is the rub:

The last day for an employer, government department, or anyone else to mail out your tax related paperwork is the last day of February. The 29th this year.

The first day that the Canada Revenue Agency (IRS/Tax Dept. in US) will accept your return for processing is yesterday. "Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for the processing of your return." Up to a further 2 to 4 weeks if you require official paper copies of your accessed return to be sent via by Canada Post.

Yesterday was a statuary holiday. No Govt. offices open.

Tomorrow the office in the building is closed due to a scheduled water shutdown. There is another on Friday. The law won't let them shut it down for more than 12 hours except for emergency repairs so two occasions this week.

My lease renewal is due to be in their hands no later than Friday with all the required paperwork in place.

Do the math. Government efficiency at it's finest. Every year it's the same thing. Sans the water issues of course. We want YOU to deal with what we cannot and if you don't get it together "You're outta here!" Very stressful. Need a beer.

I was reading it as you posted your comment LOL.........That's the way it is all for folks whose income shouldn't be considered income.  Grew up that way....I think the 5 of us boys spent more time hiding under the bed and being quiet then we did playing LOL...  We knew someone would be banging on the door .... then they would go away.....but we were told to play upstairs....until the next alarm came....which it always did....

Living where we did in a housing project the "hide under the bed routine" seemed normal for all of the kids in the neighborhood....so we never complained...it was a way of life and there were fun times also....We had a wooded area nearby with our wonderful Miantonomi Park Tower to play in....(It's no longer open to the public..to many folks with no respect for history)
