Onion, garlic and spring onions are used all the time in my place so they get replaced often, as for rice as to the seasonings they don't go bad and are always in my pantry. Eggs are are also a staple in my place, the concept of any type of meat to add in is also readily available.

So your argument is invalid.

I just think about how often I'd make the rice and how long the stuff I bought to make the rice would last....Comes out to be cheaper for me to buy in the long run......

I learned many eons ago it's cheaper for me to go out and get my fried rice from our local Chinese Take out place....Hard to believe...I'm sure...but true....and theirs tastes great...so I'm a happy camper...
