Modeling in Anim8or
« on: January 17, 2014, 09:48:12 PM »

Anim8or is a program that I have to say is my favorite modeling tool. No fancy bells and whistles in this puppy; just pure dependability in a light weight modeling and animation tool. Create meshes in a matter of minutes, not hours! I will be adding tuts over the next few days that will get you started using Anim8or like a pro even if you’ve never modeled before. This handy tool is great to have no matter what your skill level may be.

Works on Windows XP – Win8

You can get the program and the manual in PDF format with the links below.

Sorry, no Mac support at this time.

Thanks, dRacx. It's high time I get back to modeling things again. Used to do it 3D Max in college but now heck! This looks like it will fit my budget.  :woohoo:

You're very welcome. Oh I loved 3DS Max, so much so that I still have a copy of version 7. LOL Even when I outgrew it I had a hard time saying goodbye...

I have 11 tuts so far that I've been working on for this section, hopefully will have at least the first one up by this evening. Hopefully that is....LOL

Heck, there's no rush. I'll be on the go today but will be back later tonight. Winter is really brutal on these old bones, especially the feet. :cry2:

Something to read in detail when not distracted

I wonder if these instructions are shall we say similar in other programs?

"But who is stronger, truly, I asked myself, he who continues to wound and bleed himself to please others, or he who refuses any longer to do so?"

Thanks, but you're too kind...I just noticed a few typo's and I hate it. But I don't want to have to redo the image/s.

What program do you UV Map in if I may ask?
