Sure does and you can guess what I will be doing once home for the weekend ... well besides drinking :sake: and preparing final exams for the kiddies :heeheehee:

Here ya go "J"....this will help ya concerning editing points while using the spline tool.

Really, you're just telling it what operation you want to do, then selecting the point you want to do it to, then doing it. There's more steps to painting a layer in PShop than this...unless you Bucket it. Lol.

You can move the point(s) either before or after you Lathe it. If you move them after you lathe it, the object will change it's shape according to where you moved the point. If you delete a point or points after you lathe it, see what happens. You delete them the same way you move them, except use the scissors or the Delete key after you've selected them.

What I would like to know next is the sequence of adjusting the spline once it has been drawn.

Is it as simple as selecting a point on the spline and dragging it to where you desire it to be located?

Answer? YES!!!! It's as simple as that!

Jherrith

Sounds simple enough, a multi-step task but still not complicated to my grey cells.

One other thing this would need to be done and tweaked before you duplicate it to get the other side of the object right?

Draw your splines and if there's a point you want to move, select the 3 dots icon (P) and then select the point you want to move (d) with the Selection tool. It will turn white. Now select the Move tool (m - the four directional arrows) and move it where you want it. Repeat as necessary and when you're done, click on the top arrow to get out of the Point Edit mode.

Many thanks for the kind words good sir.

Hip hip on the definition of what constitutes unstable software.

All righty then I just now tried it out on thy first tutorial

Definitely ... shall we say ... sketchy ...

however ... having no idea what I was doing  ....

You did excellent on it! Anim8or is the perfect tool for those just starting out because it's ease of use and clean interface. You can create objects in it just like any other modeling package; it comes with built in primitives but also allows you to sketch with splines.

There is even talk about making rigs created in Anim8or compatible with 3DS Max, Maya, and even Poser. NO future support for Daz however; everyone agrees that Daz changes structures and formats too often to be considered stable. No one wants to have to make updates often just to stay compatible with unstable software.....Sorry SPAZ!!! You're SOL!

What .... something is confusing here in the site ... no way ... perish the thought ... it must be that darn Luffie, I bet he and Kianna have been messing about the place :heeheehee:

Nope....Not me....I'm remaining "Innocent" in this thread....and it's up to you to keep tabs on Kianna..But your tut work looks pretty good....  :java:

Jherrith

My thanks and just for the record that is the first attempt ever at modeling anything ... even with all those other unused programs I have laying about the place.
