Traffic Stop

Sam was taking Sneakers for his early afternoon walk when she came upon a sight that had become a regular occurrence.

Officer Anda had caught another driver who thought that the speed limits on Collins Avenue only applied to the locals.

The man had leaped out of his vehicle, grinning and explaining in a loud voice this to-him obvious fact.

Neither Sneakers, Sam nor the sea gulls agreed.

Officer Anda listened patiently until she could see that the driver was winding down.

She handed him the ticket she had been holding, got back in her police car and drove away.
