Stake Out to a Robbery

Some varmints would stake out a shipment and then rob the it somewhere out of town in the 19th century or signal a gang to rob these shipments. Usually the planned area for the robbery would be in a choke point like a narrow passage or canyon where escape could be easily foiled.
