The Missile

It was easy for me to infiltrate the Gaian military. The time traveller continued relating her story to Celeste. I joined the recon corps and was soon assigned to city patrols. This was my chance to strike at Sina Ves-Auren. I found a single time-cycle where I was able to bypass her defence drones and launch a strike that would take father and daughter out together. Unfortunately, Aria was also with them and there was nothing I could do to change that. As my existence and that of my species depended on that one action, I had no choice.
Prax Maz-Eren had been perfecting his cloning process for many time-periods. When I launched my attack getting him at the same time was a bonus. His knowledge and expertise were lost to the Gaians. The experiments continued despite this setback and it soon became clear why. The Gaians regarded Sina Ves-Auren as a great heroine and leader. They hit on the idea of trying to recreate her having been able to recover enough of her genetic material from the blast site. Time, it seems, flexes, stretches and distorts in unimaginable ways so I was forced to interfere yet again. I introduced faulty genetic material into the process and it was this that began to create damaged clones. Indeed, I was responsible for Carnage herself... she was formed without the abilty to speak and no longer had her natural blue skin. So she was rejected and abandoned. Celeste felt rage stirring within but remained silent. I also introduced advanced genetic components that created the hybrids. My friend here was the first ever produced. They sold her into slavery of the sordid kind and I couldn't permit that to happen. For she is Cirrus Ruise... my distant ancestor. We are both hybrid clones... I had unintentionally created a whole new race and there was nothing I wouldn't do for all of the clones, hybrid or not. That was when I had a new idea which would protect Carnage and the others. That was why I brought you, Celeste, into my plans to set things right...
