Eve smiled as she sat up, leaned down and asked, "Why are you in the med crew barracks?" Of course, she didn't need to be close to the 2-BLUE unit to communicate but the BLUE's AI's seemed to like it that way.
"With what is happening on the surface, the ship wanted us to check that everything was secure. I noticed activity in here when I passed in the corridor," 2-BLUE-885 responded, introducing itself with a non-anonymous message this time.
"Well? What is happening?" Eve asked.
"Colony 4's AI stopped communicating at 0430. We think there's been an attack."
Checking with the ship's time server, Eve realized that it was 0455. Muster was at 0500.
"Turn around, 2-BLUE-885. I've got to get dressed."
She hurriedly began to get out of her pajamas and into her uniform.
