This is getting scary.....Skhilled thinks like I do when it comes to food.  Best hot dog sandwich...though messier then hell if you like your condiments like I do....is cut in half...after marinating it....and on rye bread.....Yum....

I am a condiment and sauce man. I love sauces on almost everything. I've made a sauce out of Goya mango juice for pork chops that was awesome! The funny thing is I was drinking at the time and can't remember how I made it! LOL

I'll have to trying again sometime. heehee

Methinks you might be right none the less some excellent ideas presented by all

Done that too. But for years I've split them open and fried them and made sandwiches out of them. Heck, I've cut them up and put them in everything like scrambled eggs, pasta sauces, salads, and more. Almost anything you put any other kind of meat in.

Radkres

I cut them open long ways and stuff them with cheese and broil them in the oven. o.O

:thud: Oh my giddy aunt that is truly something seldom considered in any fashion. I am actually looking forward to buying hot dogs now.

I've actually had this printed in Taste of Home cooking magazine about 8 years ago. ;)

Most people marinate their meat for at least 30 mins before cooking it but never hot dogs. Why?!?!? Try this...

Pierce your dogs with a knife or fork a few times and place in a plastic food storage bag.

Add 1-2 tbls. of worchestersire sauce.

Add any spices or herbs you like or none at all. The worcestershire sauce will give the dogs a lovely glaze as well as a nice taste.

Grill or broil as usual!

Enjoy!

Tips:
You can also use teriyaki or soy sauce for an Asian flavor!

Try it using brats or other types of sausage.
