Here are a few bread machine books, I've just purchased last week, where some or most of the recipes you start in a bread machine, letting it do the kneading, rising, etc. and then you can take it out, shape and maybe have another rise and then bake them in an oven.

I hurt my foot and have off this week from Wed-Sun and hope to try some of these...if I'm not too busy working on themes. :)

I used to make bread from scratch. However, the older I get, I'm not so fond of all of the rising times. So, I let the machine handle the bulk of it while I go do other things.

Want to get back into the habit as I did bake bread for several years, before my machine gave up the ghost.

I remember when I was about 7-8 years old and my grandmother bought a bread machine. I still have it and it still works! The problem for me with most bread machines is that most don't brown the bread well...unless you get one of the really expensive ones.

So, I've started using mine as a sous chef. ;) I put the ingredients into it and let it go through the mixing, kneading, rising, etc. I remove the dough then cut, shape, etc. into rolls, loafs, etc. Put them in a baking pan, if using one, let it go through the final rise, if any, and then bake. Most of the work is done for me! :)

I've stumbled onto the following site which this lovely woman, Paula, does the same thing and has a lot of recipes for just that and includes very detailed instructions and variations:

https://saladinajar.com/

She has other recipes there too. I subscribe to her newsletter and here's this month's recipe - Parmesan Potato Rolls:
