TL, the storm is supposed to be tomorrow night with the temperatures up by Monday morning and rain thereafter. 

I'm trying to be prudent and get the stuff that I need done "just in case".  I hope your family doesn't have too much trouble.

I do miss Win 7 Pro x64 on everything.  Even more than Red Plum Jam on everything!  Sigh.

Just noticed my little tabby is animated, kewlnezz! 

BTW - the Lenovo IS beside my bed.  Only this bed ain't at home.   BadMoonRYZEN is, bet me and Lennie aren't.

They're getting dorkier every dang day.  I  got me this new laptop to keep beside my bed.  Wanted it to be an extension to BadMoonRYZEN.  W10  adamantly refuses to allow them to even see each other.  M$ is being ridonkulously arsenine about a number of things these days.   Any idea how to get two W10 machines to actually talk freely with each other?
PDG, W10 sez it HAS to have that xbox gamebar for some things to work, even in Steam games.  I haven't pushed the issue around yet.  Just bought and started playing No Man's Sky in June.  Ah it will play on the Lenovo IdeaPad 3!  Hehhehheh!  Guess I'll call it Lennie.

Good Morning to all......

Did ya miss me LOLOL.   Been a hectic week here and not due to anything I'm doing....But I think things have settled down a wee bit so now I can play catch up today....but that will be after I go out and shovel the snow when it gets warmer.  Right now it's 9 degrees....I'll wait till it's 15 degrees and then head out to shovel....  Should be a fast shovel....tis light and fluffy stuff...I think   :nopanic;

Other then that...hope you all are doing well.....

Glad the Laptop is fixed Fafnir....Now remember...Never let anyone near it again

And PDG....I've got Win 11 on just one of the computers to see what it's all about...thus far some great new features, some terribly stupid features....but all is running fine with no problems...KNOCK ON WOOD....

Love W8.1, still hate W10, don't want to see W11 specially when I don't ask for, and my comp system is more than limit with that stupid W10 (and yet it was its system since the beginning...)

Linux is headed in the same direction, PDG.  Gnome login screen now wants  you to "swipe up" to open the password prompt.

W11 has been running on The Shanghai Cathouse for a month or so. I haven't reverted it back to W10. This box is W10 and it won't become W11 till W10 dies or the box itself dies. After spending an inordinate amount of time turning off "features" W11 is not that bad.


The only thing that freaked me out is the XBOX Gamebar. I didn't know it was running in the background and suddenly my headphones started shouting alarms and big blue windows opened everywhere blocking access to my screen. Wouldn't care except I was in the middle of a race and my track kept disappearing behind that stupid blue window. Found that sucker and nuked it. No more stupid kids wanting to play Minecraft with me now.


Hopefully I've shut everything annoying down now. Still; I've said it before and I'll say it again. I don't need my operating system turning my rather expensive and competent computer into a cheap and cheerful cell phone.
