Good Morning to all....

Sir Knight...It's a dreary day with temps no where near what they predicted they would be earlier in the week.  They said it would be in the 40's and here we sit at 31 and it will go down as the day goes on.  Oh well...I think we are in for the day anyway...

PDG....If I remember right....I think Virginia still has State Run Stores that are the only places that sell liquor but Wine and Beer can be purchased in other business as long as they are licensed to sell it.  And I also think that Bars also have to sell food in order to serve beer and wine...I forget what the percentage is.

I just looked it up and I was right...State run Liquor stores are still there and I found this...."Virginia bars must make at least 45% of their revenue from food sales. Therefore there are no strict "bars" in the traditional sense - every establishment is a bar/restaurant."

This is a cool place "State Liquor Laws"

We had a little moment of sun in the beginning of afternoon. Otherwise, just rain and it's not ended, far away.

Mornin" all. Looks like rain here as well and around 10 (50) already this morn. I'll be dodging raindrops doing the shopping in a bit. I feel tomorrow will be a little more busy in the grocery than I would like so shopping is this am instead.

I might splurge and take a cab. Christmas was gift card day. I have a couple hundred bucks for my grocery store and related chain stores. Since groceries will be free today I feel I can swing the cab. Got a couple for Timmies (Tim Horton's, a coffee and donut place) Don't eat donuts but I drink a lot of coffee. Too bad the liquor store isn't open this early. I've a couple for there as well. Might buy a good bottle of bubbly for New Year's.

The only things I got besides those gift cards are 6 cases of beer from Ed and his family when they were by last week. I might seem strange to get so much beer but they moved my Beer Store out of the neighbourhood a couple of years ago when they moved the Liquor Store in to it.

This is Ontario folks. Can't buy beer or liquor except from beer or Liquor stores run by the Province. No 7-11. No corner store. No gas station. A trial balloon has really really expensive craft beers selling in a single grocery chain in the more remote areas where there are no outlets.

Thanks for the Fafnir...

The big warmup is on.  42 degrees out at the moment and it will be in the upper 40's and low 50's until Saturday.  And then we bomb out and back to Winter we go...

But I know that it's a prelude to the "Winter Once Again" scenario LOL....

Anyway...got some errands to run...clinic visits for Lorna....and some other stops to make so it will be a on and off visit day today.
