Not at all.  Have had to deal with UPS for meds from VA and that can turn out to be a hell of a circus.  Throw in the Postal Service and its even more fun.  Had a late start today.  Was able to sneak out while daughter catching zzzzzs.  Got over to the local - one of them anyway - surplus stores and was finally able to pick up a set of cavalry hat cords to go with my black stetson.  Also picked up crossed sabers and sergeant stripes.  Not to mention finally getting my hands on a 3rd ACR cap.

I know that might not mean much to a nonparticipant, but its nice to FINALLY find one.  Now, if only I can find one for the 11th ACR.  Now to get over to the Gallery .......

Good grief doesn't seem very efficient to me

Depends on the Trucking company that they are using Some out source so that your mail gets moved at the lowest cost to them so might be different end points from start based on the Bulk of the cargo goes here and the other is taken along for the ride to the close to the end point.

It is all the Post Office, tis the only method of delivery this vendor uses. True it is a different weight each time but I find that to be a pretty weak excuse for how the packages are delivered.

Is it the same company who sends you the packs, or are they different? And are they same weight, or different each time?
I know here we can have at least 3 different path for the mails and for the packs. Don't ask me why, but  all I see are the difference from sender, weight and even (for packs) the size.
Or maybe the central factories are overloaded, and mails and packs are sent in secondary places?

Explains why on one hand it gets to Jacksonville and then to Orlando and to me

On others occasions it gets to Jacksonville and then to Lake Mary then to me

Then there are times I get the slow boat treatment, from Jacksonville to Lake Mary then Orlando then at long last me
