You hang in there Cleve.   I learned long long ago that when our Maker says "Come home" that is what we do, period.    I feel closer to my end, but at 67, that's kinda normal.  And we go when He says.  Not when we think.   Just take care of yourself during all this, make sure you eat somewhat properly, and stay hydrated.   Emotional stuff like this is hard on the body.   Be good to you, ya hear?

Good Morning to all.....

Spent yesterday getting the yard done since our high temp was only 82.....but starting today...the highs will be in the upper 90's....which I don't do well in.  I melt FAST....  So got everything done while taking my time since the cool breeze felt great... 

I guess the upper 90's is going to be sticking around here the rest of this week and all of next week....with no chance of rain.  It's been one dry year here and then some...nothing like the West Coast though.

And the Milwaukee Bucks are now the NBA Champs....and the crowds were HUGE.  I'm not much of a Basketball fan but I'm a Wisconsin fan so I cheer for any Wisconsin team that wins a Championship.

Cleve...I can relate....I'm the oldest of 5 boys and there are only two of us left....

I'm here with sad heart, because our little Coquinette has joined her brother Bébé Castor during the night. The consolation is that happened during her sleeping time in her house.

Good morning guys!
Today is a very wwarm day. Already 86°F at 11 AM, despite the forecast weather telling we should have only 90°F today at the maximum.
We are also under the threathening of thunderstorms according to them. We'll see Waiting, the river is still high, even if less than few times ago, and the stream is always strong.
And this morning I made the town from a side to the other near the river, to find the she-goats we are supposed to have around. No track, like each time I tried. I guess their owner decided to bring them back at home (which would be safer for them). Or they are very very good to hide and seek

Mornin coffee cocoa and tea  are ready the girls  made biscuits and bacon for this  morning and for later on there  will be smoked brisket and link sausage  with all the  fixings  and tater  wedges

Cleve, it does seem like we are both on the same page.  Being the oldest of the family does have its drawbacks.  And I know exactly what you mean.

Aelin, it is most hard to turn away from the little ones.  I TRIED to turn down Princess when we first got her, but Connie knew my weak point.  I was just beginning to tell her I just did not want another dog when she brought this gorgeous little Chichuahua out brought her out.  Needless to say, I melted right on the spot.  One look into those eyes and the Fat Lady was done and on her way completely off stage.

Good morning guys.

Hipshot, at the beginning of 2008 I was looking for a new cat to adopt, to the local shelter. Didn't want to take a grey cat because several around in the family and at friends' homes were very bad mood cats.
When the adoptable cat house was opened, the first on a shelf I saw was that grey face, interested by what happened, but didn't move, just continued to look. The cat I maybe would take was already waiting his new owners came. Another was a granny cat, and it was too early for I pass through a lose again (didn't know our tiny dog would leave 4 months later). Most of the other cats in the background of the house didn't want to be adopted and no one caught my eyes.
Back inside the cat house, Puce was still looking what happened. And she is now near me while I'm writting. She is like a cat-dog in her behavior. Maybe because she was abandonned twice in her first year of life. But the fact is she is absolutely not like the otehr grey cats I knew, she is a sweet one. Even if she has tendency with her eyes to show she would prefer to be the exclusive cat to the house; that seems to be a common way for all grey cats I know or knew.

I think animals feel better than us if they have to come with us or not. Except the ones trying to charm every human
