Thanks McGrandpa. I don't think we ever got to know each other before I had to leave but I was a member here about 15 years ago.

Giveaway of the Day
Welcome, and how may I help you?

Come visit with all in here, have some coffee or your favorite beverage, and have loads of fun. The bar staff and keeper are always here to fill your orders. This is our gathering place where we will share greetings, pass secrets, gossip, and enjoy each other's company.

Jherrith has agreed to fire up the grill on the weekends with some of his tasty specials.....and the COFFEE will always be hot and fresh, especially with Fafnir and his bevy of waitresses.

Same here.....it's hard to believe we have so many ways to get the weather and none of them match :tearlaugh:

Aelin

We are supposed to live in the half south of France, which was supposed to be full of sun from the dawn to the sunset. Grey and rain were for the north, only north. As you have guess, we had clouds and only clouds for a large part of the day; even rain at midday. And around 4PM we finally saw the sun.
Forecast weathers are still as bad as usually :tearlaugh:

Good Morning to all....including you Speedy.....

Had a fun day yesterday doing some rearranging of furniture.  Kept changing my mind so never got much done LOLOL

Anyway....here to see what is going on and then back to my chores....  Tis a stormy day...though the sun is trying to come out....which is a bad thing when storms are out and about....   Just makes them stronger...

Thanks for the :java: Fafnir......

Wasn't the keyboard, t'was the fat fingers missing the keys of the keyboard!    Of course I meant speedY reader!   That's my story and I'm sticking to it.   I can read a 250 pg paperback in a single sitting too.  Depending on level of immersion of course. :)   Some authors are better writers in being able to carry us away on a great adventure.   Piers Anthony is one author who is able to put such color into the read as to create movies in my mind.   I don't even notice the turning of the pages, and the text vanishes when the movie starts!
I do enjoy my Piers Anthony; The Xanth series and the Incarnation of Immortality were/are both great reads.

Average for me a roughly 400 wpm or a page a minute approx. however if it is a tech piece then slower.

I have been known to read a 350+ book in 6 to 7 hours if left undisturbed

Speed of reading depends always if you are "in" the topic of the book and love so much that you "eat" the book or not. And none of us read at the same speed in general.
I can do that sometimes with Lord Of The Rings or Silmarillon. Did that with one Agatha Christie when I was a teenager.

Excellent end of day guys!
