McG...wtf...when did they take the name away from the Taney?  Now the emails and such I get say Cutter 37.

Though I didn't see any explanation how  this 'movement' got going,  I did find out earlier this year there was some commotion about the Secretary of the Treasury Roger B. Taney being a supporter of slavery.   This didn't sit well with certain concerned people.   So longer story short, his name was removed from the ship.   The US Coast Guard never supported slavery.   So now you know why the old gal, call sign November Romeo Delta Tango, is known simply as USCG WHEC 37.  Which, if you spell the two acronyms out are quite a mouthful anyway.  BTW, while I was aboard her, the top of the balloon shelter is painted black with the call sign, 4 letters (NRDT), painted in red on that.  Though I see no sign of that today on Google Earth Pro.   The world, always a changing!   Sigh.

The kitties are doing fine.  Had to get them all undercover with their Mommy due to the storms coming...

Got one brave one that loves to climb the steps to my place....Now I have to peek to see if the kitty is behind the door so I don't push him off the steps LOL....

Nope, Asian people aren't the only ones with weird meat. But them, you know. While here (and I think I remember now it wasn't just in France, but in Europe for horse meat in place of beef) it's just to make more money.

TL maybe your good junk will reintagrate your house at that rate How are baby cats today?

Good Afternoon to all.....

Was about to get in here yesterday after doing some posting on FB but got sidetracked by a project I've been putting off.....and now I know why LOL....The big shed holds twice as much junk as the small one does for some reason....   So I decided to separate the good junk from the bad junk....  I know....  Makes no sense....but I felt better afterwards LOL.

Had to visit the Vampires at the clinic this morning and got a feeling my Oncologist will be saying I have a all day visit based on the test results I saw today....  Oh well....I'm use to it.  I just make sure my phone and tablet are fully charged....and I'll get a free lunch in the process LOL.....

Wow Aelin....they sound like a fun group of people.....NOT.....

Got more storms coming today...Had a great one this morning....MUCH NEEDED rain.

My Brother in RI said they just got wind gusts and some rain but nothing serious from the Tropical Storm.  The same with my friends in Newport...they said the waves came over the barrier walls....but they had no flooding on the street where my mother lived.

Anyway...as mentioned...Wednesday I will be MIA and then some....but I'll be here tomorrow.....

And here I thought I had it bad in Korea.  Don't know how many times I went to get a bite to eat while on maneuvers or out in the ville and I got something that I just wasn't sure of.  Those "burgers" were good, though they did taste a little funny.  Could have sworn I hear one growling at me as I bit into it.  And here I thought the guys were kidding about the fabled "Mystery Meat!"

I know in France, if you go in a kebab shop, you are almost sure to eat dog, mostly labradors  More risks than going in a Chinese restaurant.
But French people aren't best. Years ago, at beginning of 2000's, horse meat was used in industrial cooked plates in place of beef. And even donkey meat in place of pig for dry sausage - and at that time I wasn't vegan, so I can't swear I never ate donkey  One more reason for why I stopped meat.

That does not sound good.  I like cats, just not for dinner.  Guests perhaps, but not for dinner.  Had that problem in El Paso.  Had a bunch of Koreans in the neighborhood.  They, unfortunately, kept the cat population in control.  And not in a good way.

Good morning guys!

You know, yesterday morning we had caravans starting to stop on the parking from a shop, like in July 14th. Finally they went away, so I thought they were only tourists.
But this morning, what was near the job area? Yeah, the caravans. Again the "gens du voyage", and believe me, not the best part. They launched in bushes bottles and other amusing things, that was seen by several colleagues and by people of the local swimmingpool (which is near our building job). And apparently during the midday, one of the little boys decided it was so great to be nake on the street
Finally they left somewhere this afternoon. I learnt later they were in town since Saturday.
Yesterday, during home cleaning, with opened windows, I heard the neighbor with cats, at the floor on the ground, had a missing cat. They are always back for the nigh, but that one didn't come back in the night of Saturday to Sunday. I cross fingers, because there are people in the community in question above that aren't friends of cats (or dogs) and they end in the plates.... And indeed, I didn't see the black cat from all yesterday, when he has regular habits. And this morning, when going at the job, I crossed the way of the grey one, and he fled when he saw me at the top of the outside stairs; first time he does that.
