I don't live in the States, but I see it this way. Irregardless what the talking heads have to say, it's a coin toss. Every person you meet has only two states, infected or not infected. There is no middle ground. Flip your coin. If the result is "heads" they are infected. "Tails" they're cool. Every person who is infected has only two states. Infect you or not infect you. Another coin flip. "Heads" they get you. "Tails" you have a nice day. Two coin flips for every person you meet. Masks, distancing, washing your hands, vaccines; none proven to protect you or them completely.

Mitigation. That is all anyone has at this point. You can determine your own mitigation strategies but you have no true idea what any other given individual is doing or government mandating. People will deal with their health as they see fit. Do what you have to do to fulfill your own personal safety requirements in what ever way you see fit; but it's still a coin toss.

Freedom was the dream of our forefathers and some day it may come to fruition.

My country, 'tis of thee, Sweet land of liberty, Of thee I sing; Land where my fathers died, Land of the pilgrims' pride, From ev'ry mountainside Let freedom ring!

We may need to change some of the words or come up with a new song.

Well, there goes the neighborhood. Wrote an email concerning one of my clocks not working to the old man.

His reply he would have to schedule a visit to the main clock repair shop ... however get this

"Both he and I agree you need to get the shot"

:whatthe: Since when was it your decision to tell me something like that ... if this isn't headed straight to the slippery slopes of full blown Nazism/Communism then I did not learn anything in history class.

Literally since when do you get to decide what I do .... I am not sorry but I have yet to see any one, five or ten year reports on the effects of said vaccine. I see reports still of adverse reactions, causing new medical problems and death to those who took the experimental jab.
Not happening ... my luck I would be that dies from taking the damn shot and what do we have now, people who took the jab are still getting this crap so what was the point ?????

:sigh: It is a sad day indeed when a family member is trying to tell, cajole, or shame another into doing something they do not want to do. :rat-atat: And then to bring in an outside person saying the same thing is complete :bs:

Get the shot if you want but do not tell others that they must .... or you will be treated as pariah ... your fear has driven you mad

Was laughing this morning. The vaccines are supposed to be the same from a country to another, aren't they? Well the french government has decided people who made vaccines in a foreigner country aren't covered by a vaccine: nope, their vaccines are nothing.
Which means people from Netherland or England who have houses in France and want to profit this Summer are considered like if they never made the vaccination. SO they can't come easily in France.
If that isn't one more thing to proove people who dive in are just guinea pigs

I agree, when it is time it is time ... however no experimental drug is going to be the instrument .

Sometime I think that many in our population, are a few steps away from idiocracy where people don't think and the leaders are not that bright.  Also I can figuratively see a few people running around in circles with their hand in the air thinking that the Corona virus will get them.   As for me when God wants to take me home no force in the universe will stop it. All I hope for is a peaceful exit from this world.
Round up all the usual suspects!

I am with you on that ...

Covid Fearmongering is Out of Control

I read this twice and can not help but say "seriously"

Background
These are only two of countless similar stories that have emerged recently.

It has recently been discovered that young males, in particular, are at an increased risk of experiencing different kinds of heart inflammation as a side effect of the coronavirus vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna. The side effects can be experienced after either the first or the second dose of the vaccine, but they are much more common after the second dose.

Despite these concerning reports, the CDC is still urging people "12 years of age and older" to get vaccinated, stating that "the known and potential benefits of COVID-19 vaccination outweigh the known and potential risks," including heart inflammation. The CDC adds in its guidance that "most patients" who have experienced the heart inflammation have "responded well to treatment and rest and quickly felt better."

Many young people and their parents, however, are left wondering whether it is worth taking the risk of vaccination, especially considering that young people are at less of a risk of suffering serious complications from the coronavirus.

Can't help but wonder how is, death being a potential risk, a good thing. I cannot give a rational answer for that level of logic.
