AH I remember the painting now, Aelin!   Thanks for the tip!   Looked it up, and more female Centaurs are mentioned even from hundreds of years BCE.  So, I read wrong the first time!

No, when I grew up I left Thessalia because Lapithes had built up the habit of drowning me in plenty of good advices - grandfathers will be grandfathers, nothing doing

I moved then to Mount Pelion where I used to live since, though I spent regularly my holidays in Arcadia for it offered a better climate and quite gorgeous company  :40:

Yeah Cyllarus was the exception to the rule. Him found the good words 

However don't worry, by no means would I dare impose my company upon a centauress who really doesn't want me around - that's probably why we civilized centaurs have become virtually extinct...:sad:



P.S.: It just occurred to me that if you want to make harmless a centaur that runs after you, a boomerang would be much better suited than an arrow 

That, and accident with heroes - or better, always the same hero

Hylonome was the exception in the list. She was in Greek mythology. And with Cyllarus like remember through ages sir Chiron. She commited a suicide after the death of her husband.

Anyway it's going to take a while: by perfect I mean in Arcadia some 3000 years ago, among plenty of merry nymphs and fauns and chirping birds, with a pretty centauress galloping before me and pretending (but not too convincingly) that she's afraid for her virtue and wants to escape my lascivious attention...
