Here is a WIP I've done in the past

I'll cut to the chase.
Composition is a vast subject. How far we go depends on you. For now, I will just show a few examples that I've picked up over the years.

Most of us will put the subject smack in the middle of the picture. Sometimes this works, but most often it doesn't.

The simplest one to grasp is the rule of thirds.
Divide your drawing up into a grid made up of nine parts â€" the point where the lines intersect will usually draw the viewer’s attention.

I could drink some :sake: instead.

And Lord knows I have a multitude of renders that are in .... several as stated .... no ohs and ahs ... :thud:

I will show you 2 or 3 renders of the same subject and you can tell me which one you like and why you like it.

Stay Tune... I'll be back Thursday afternoon to tackle this.

Meanwhile, chat amongst yourself

I like to split this subject into two parts. (possibly more depending how deep we are getting into.

Have you ever created an image and it just doesn't feel right?  An image could be technically correct, but somehow doesn't really gives you the oohs and the aahs?

That happens to me quite frequently. I have hundreds of WIPs to proof it.

This thread deals with one of the most important part of an image, one that distinguish your work from being a doodle or a piece of art.
