[M-Callahan]

One of my server drives went down order two of them on the 23rd of the month they usually get here in two or three days, how ever in tracking them they are stuck in Austin Texas.   Even though it was originally coming out of California, it by passed me in Nevada and travel to three states away.  No wonder the USPS loses money.

I don't think so.  But  you will likely have to talk to the RAID controller and tell it "import" them.  They can likely be added as JBOD's .

Just added 10 new disk to the T710 server.  Do I need to set up raid to recognize them?

So that is why there are different bar codes on the cables that go from the server to the disk array.  Here I thought they came from different production runs from the same company.

  That's Nothing Wait till every cable is Barcoded and indexed and Billed then Burned into a CD that is then Placed inside the Server with a Back up copy of all the manuals and Break down of what was installed and by Who with loving Care just incase.

My CDO demands that not only do I dress the cables in neatly, up to the point of being able to put an eye on a cable and follow it without losing track of it.

Oh an we also label both sides of it with a bi-directional label with starting and ending port ID on them.

So OCD that I put it in order so CDO we are ... not quite a poster child for it but getting there ... yes we are

Thanks for the comment.  Only one bad thing about it that the server sit out the back about 5 inches.  Still thinking of how to cable it so it won't have that just thrown together look.  Cable management is good since you can see all of cables logically laid out which makes it is easier to troubleshoot problems.
