I have my mac that has the required info but the laptop has w10 and is slower now than it  was before I was forced to upgrade it.  too old to take w11 thank goodness. I rarely use the comp but it has my photoshop that the mac won't install anymore.

Yes my DAZ is on W7 laptop and I really do not want to lose it. I have a laptop with W10 on it and I hate it. Getting used to it but to be honest I feel that technology is getting very instrusive .

Yeah, I should have "looked before I lept" as my primary system is still on Win7 Pro which caps it from most new software updates (like Nvidia drivers and other graphics software).  When introduced, W10 had some serious flaws (mostly relating to its forced auto updating).  At the time I was still on Win7 Home Premium so I would have received Win 10 "Home edition" which then was pretty much like handing my system over to Microsoft to do as they wished as the user had little control.  Also wasn't fond of the useless "feature bloat" and  hideous UI that started with Win8 and got out of hand with 10 and even more so with 11 (this is primarily a work machine).

Eventually I realise I have to upgrade the hardware out of "necessity for" 11 (in spite of not wanting rubbish like an AI assistant configuring things "under the bonnet" so to say) however that will take money I currently do not have (about 850$) as I am on a fixed retirement income.

Sounds interesting, but my Mac is on Mojave and can't be upgraded to Catalina!
