Hello everyone, a short note about me and here...

Long story short, I hope, my cat's grand dame is failing me. We had high hopes that we would pull through but last night and today tell me she is gonna leave us. We have done what we can but now she absolutely doesn't even want to eat or drink anything and is just laying in one spot.

She is gonna leave us and so I will be on even more sporadically than ever. I have had her for only about 7 years after she was dumped and has been an outside cat. She has been inside for only about a week and knows we care for her tremendously.

All I can say is that it is a good thing since I am a nervous eater and I have nothing in the fridge except a loaf of bread...cause it is not a happy thing to see a poor refrigerator running down the street with a crazy 70-year-old chasing it down to raid it.  :nopanic;

Sorry, I have a weird way of dealing with pressure. Thanks all for sharing with us the hope she would have gotten better. My daughters are crying but as usual, this old woman doesn't cry in dealing with these things, the only time I cry is when I get mad and then that person had better get to running.

I am a cat whisperer also, and I can understand how hard it is to see one of our babies go. I have great love for all cats, and I am able to do things with the cats that know me that others would not dare to do. If I were there I would be holding her in my arms, comforting her, as I have so many of my cats over the years. My current feline family member is Cookie Baby, and for a cat, she is spry for her age. She turned 13 just last month . I made her arbitrary birthday April 10, because we got her in June of 2010, as a 6 to 8 week old kitten. She certainly loves me a lot, and I love her a lot too. I know the time will come when she will leave this world for kitty heaven, and it will be just as sad as when I have lost all of the cats I had before her.
I am keeping you and your baby in my prayers, in the hope that her passing will not be too hard on her or you. Please keep the memory of her in your heart, always. I know you have had great times with her, and she with you. Those memories are precious beyond compare, so cherish them like the treasures they are.
