Anime/Animation Creation

My son is having a problem setting up the software, wanted to try something new and its frustrating him to no end, now I have to convince him to go back to tried and true and soon cause I am waiting for him to get it done.

It's all good, not going anywhere that I know of...unless I die or something.

I'll be following this thread. My hope is that you can change my views on Anime. I normally find most Anime to be rather creepy...kinda like "the old man down the street drooling over little girls playing on the sidewalk" kind of creepy.

I think it's mostly the child like voices on fully developed bodies.

It's popular for many reasons, if you ask an anime/manga lover.

The art is normally extremely good (And all different kinds for all different tastes)

Also, the plots are very well thought out most of the time. And they are very creative as well, something we Americans don't seem to have... (Some of our most popular t.v. shows consist of family guy, the simpsons, pointless reality shows, game shows...etc....)

The voices are true to the Anime/Manga tradition....

TheLufias, his problem with anime is one I share though fight to get past for the reasons you mention. It's the fact older teens and adults, particularly the women are designed to look like scantily clad under aged children in highly suggestive scenarios, they are also made to sound like children.  It can not be denied that the females of anime are highly sexualized. They have no problem having the males look and sound the proper age, though considering the women of that country were basically second class citizen for a very long time, that is not surprising. It gives off a pedophilia vibe many can not get past, even if they are not aware of why they think that. My way of getting past it is to view all the characters involved as children, unless they are obviously adults like parents and police and store owners and teachers and such.

I have come across a few anime that do not do this, the art and voice acting are done rather well and I definitely do not get that vibe from them.
The first is Gangsta, where the artist has done the characters up according to their age. There are only two characters who do not look their age and for good reason. Their age is stunted due to drug experiments in the past, they do mention this in the story and explain things, though in my opinion they could have explained further.The second is Monster, a 74 episodic series and all the characters are drawn according to age and the voice acting is well done also. If you liked a show called The Fugitive, Double Jeopardy, The Hunted, you will like this one.I know there a few others, I'll hunt them down and you can check them out.
