Bridge(s)
« on: January 31, 2017, 12:06:40 PM »
Like I said in another topic, I'm trying to do a bridge. And already 2 possibilities are coming to me. Notice, it's not perfect strutures, just tests.

For the first, I started by a Cube, developped in the "cube option" to obtain a rectangule.
I cut some faces in the down part, dissolved some face always below, and on the sides.
I used move to go toward the top for a "round" bridge shape on the middle.
The used extrude and "shell extrude" for rails and sides or the road; for end of rails too.
And a bit of bevel.

For the second, I went in "cylinder options" to have a Tube (even number). Layed down it in Z and cut almost the half of 'circle'. For the cut, use "dissolve".
Duplication, then bridge.
More faces, dissolve some others, slide 2 edges on the top.
Extrusion again.
It's not ended for the moment, and not very good I find. But 2 tests for this bridge, and the better way I have with it.

Here a textured view of the first bridge. It's not perfect, because I made a mistake during the modelization on little corners above the ground.

Except for pavement, textures are mine (photos of cathedral stones).

I believe I'll leave bridges for a moment. I have another thing to try before.
