Title: Focus for Poser
Post by: Aelin on April 04, 2017, 10:50:53 AM
It's specifically for Poser, like said the title: Focus for Poser (https://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/focus-for-poser/77187) ; it's a better focus than basic given with Poser.
It was made by corvas.

I could use it now for the monthly challenge and contest... BTW the latest scuttlebutt on Poser is: There will be no new Poser coming out... All the Poser team members have been fired and this is no prank. SM is dead silent on the topic of Poser development.  :blownaway: Yet?  :shiv3:

Maybe they think to do a new and better Poser for the future, and not just a new version to have a new version?

They have a topic here: Hi there! from the Poser team (https://forum.smithmicro.com/topic/1765/hi-there-from-the-poser-team/2)
It seems they will do improvements on Poser for the moment.
They talk also to look for a better ContentParadise; and I believe these last months they have really worked on, because the navigation is a little better (now I can have several tabs on the site when I'm connected).

Well, I hope so... The latest version just to be the latest number was insanity. I just hope they will revamp it so as to justify the price jump into the stratosphere. Not getting any younger, you know.

I usually wait till they get the bugs out of the program before I upgrade to it....and to date.....I've not even gone near Poser 11.....

I'll stick with Poser 10.

TL - I keep Poser Pro 2014 installed, as PP 11 still has teething pains.  They overhauled the Library, and now PP 11 uses upwards of a gigabyte and a half of ram just sitting around, with half a dozen processes going.  PP 2014?  ONE process.  Less than 300 megs used.  I like that better.

The Focus Guide is a terrific tool for sure!   Easiest way I found to use it is to just left click on the camera ball, then in Settings tab, use the Focus_Distance dial.  That is where you also set f/stops for that DOF look everyone talks about.

I always get a kick out of the numbering systems they use also....I'm like...."DAMN....I missed one"....or...."Hell's Bells.....my new one is my old one according to the numbers"....
