Hit it with a couple extra settings

Still

01:51:40.022

Definitely an improvement

Did you increase render dimensions a lot?  Almost two hours for the test scene!?!?

Was that on the old scene, the one with two or three DR trees in it?   If so, you went from over 6 hours rendering down to under 2 hours.  Yeah, major improvement!  MAJOR improvement!  :o)

Ray tracing and the number of bounces and a few other check box in the D3D dialog box

Ok, cool.  I did copy the py to the Utility folder, works from there too.  I too like the available settings Ralf put on the page.  Lots of em!  What he writes, works.
Gonna have to start messing with ZBrush a lot now.  Just to have more fun.

Me three although we will probably start with the Manga Studio and Anime Studio then maybe a little Vue and Blender before tackling Zbrush although just poking it with a stick to set up the default stage will be interesting enough to see what is there and why

I don't have the Manga and Anime Studios.   I can get what I want render-wise from Poser, so not much interested in those two, though they have gone on sale for cheep a lot in recent times.  ZBrush.  You kinda start off with this ball of clay.   Then you attack it with all the things (tools) you have to see what they do to the ball of clay.   Much more like sculpting to me than Modo, which is supposed to be THE computer sculpting modeler.  There is also a freebie that you can get from Pixologic that is the basic engine of the modern ZBrush called Sculptris.  But if we own ZBrush, why bother with Sculptris?  Cause we are not inundated with a gusher flood of options in it like we are with the front page in ZBrush thats why!  LOL!

Seeing as we have a couple three hundred or more manga in the library and anime in the video library we did spring for both and since they were on sale ... yep ... :iminnocent:

Really I am

Granted it to is a learning curve but one I wont mind adapting to as it seems these along with Poser integrates with Zbrush in a round about way or is it the other way round so much documentation to read so much to get baffled gabbed on :tearlaugh:

ZBrush integrating?  Well, there is GO-Z, a plugin that may do some integrating with other programs.  I have looked at that word "integrating" a couple times and blinked.  Need to investigate more I think!  :)

Me three as it was just one of those fly by's descriptions one reads in passing ... without truly seeing what was written.

Have you even played IN ZBrush yet?  If not, hey it's fun, gotta give it that!  It kinda has its own definitions of some words that mean other things in most other programs.  What we call TOOLS is the thing you are modeling ON.  that clay ball.  It is up to 4R7 or something now.  And it comes with a lot of really cool tutorial type stuff too.  This is one program I think was worth the money and then some!
