Daz 4.20

If you use Daz3d and are thinking of updating to 4.20 then don’t!
Did it last night and now iray rendering is broken.

I’ve been looking through the forums too. Technical stuff outside my remit and diminishing capacity. Everything else appears to work but if I render it stops after 4 seconds with a blank window.

Yea...sometimes the explanations are more confusing which is why it's better to go into the forums and ask the questions....They have a number of good folks in there that are willing to help.

I tried to show my Great Grand the ins and outs of Daz and she finally told me she gets better info from the forum then from me LOLOLOLOLOL...but she still thinks I'm a genius...so all is good....

I'm glad I didn't go further than 4.9. Now I have to take on myself to reinstall even an older version; have it but I'm lazy

Seeing 4.20 in my email perked up my interest enough to read the advert. As we all know how I feel about DAZ; 4.20 as a cheap stoner joke was as far as I willing to go. Like Jherrith I'm a Poser only guy, despite my recent foray into Blender.

I can play with Poser sometimes, Poser 10 (the great not phone home I had installed before that non sense), but like it's on the half alive W8.1 (external hard drive only now), I use it less than I wish to.
Otherwise, I play with DS3, and I like it, it was my entry door to 3D world. Definitively prefer it to DS4. And at least DS3 likes Poser stuff; with DS4 bad surprises happen.

I couldn’t afford poser so Daz was the only option. I’ve been collecting freebies or making some bits of my own. I’ve managed to buy some stuff recently too.
