That she is!   Giving it quite the study too.   She is a beautiful Tri-Color, TL.   She is she the Boss, eh?   ;o)

Reminds me a lot of one I had many years ago.   Got her and one littermate free at the weekly Saturday Night Auction.   I had named her Patches.   She had more white in her than your Cali does though.

Yes indeed...she is the boss and smart as a whip.  She forgets nothing, listens to everything....is NOT afraid of having a smack down with the other critters....LOLOL

I could do with another one like that.   Mogwai is a GOOD boy, honest.   I'd love to give him some more company though.

Our cat McCartney was Alpha Male where we used to live. After the move, that changed. There is a black and white Tuxedo that is Alpha Male where we now live, and he is bigger than McCartney. He also has a habit of trying to run other males off, but McCartney knows we love him, and knows we will protect him. Still, because that other male is around, McCartney does not want to be outside much. When he does go out, he sticks close to the home we are in. But if that Tuxedo is out and about, he purposefully comes looking for McCartney to start something with him. There's no way that he and McCartney could become friends. So McCartney has become a mostly indoor cat. Unfortunately, that means our kitty litter gets used up way too fast.

Cats are not allowed to roam here in Queensland...if caught you will get fined... we have a cat enclosure out the back...but we still let Sally out occasionally.

Cats do not work that great with leashes.   The local leash laws apply to dogs.  Considering there are local breeders for monster dogs, that law was a necessity.   If a roaming dog bites a kid, the dog is killed and the owner is jailed.  There are two breeders of monster dogs around here.   Those wire cages cannot stop them from getting out if they really want out.  One breeder does Rottweilers, the other does pit Bulls.    Both breed dogs over 200 lbs.   Even I get worried when they are that big, and vicious.
Cats, being small, are accepted as feral animals.   To stem the overpopulation thing, a catch-neuter-release where caught policy is in effect nation wide now.  No kill rooms allowed.  Well, that is the ideal, and I personally doubt it is implemented everywhere.
WHEN a dog pack is learned of, an animal control team is launched and the pack captured, the animals dealt with.  Owners rounded up, fined/jailed as appropriate.   NO DOG of any size is allowed to roam free in the city.  The cat policy does help.   The feral cat population does a great job of keeping the vermin population way down.  As in rats, mice, snakes.   You no longer see a pack of rats scurrying down the street in broad daylight, or at night.   IIRC, the lack of cats is what actually caused the major deadly plagues in Europe.
Well that is what they get for stubbornly choosing to be dumb asses!

Sanbie, why can't cats be allowed to roam freely?

I suspect in Australia like in New Zealand it's because of the native fauna. I know in NZ, the national bird was the prey of cats and almost extinct.
Humans are responsible for having took them there, but it's descendants of those animals who are bad seen. Humans are like that unfortunately.

Loved the photo of Calie, TL.

McCartney isn't depressed by staying more inside?

When he goes outside he is either attacked by the Tuxedo Alpha Cat, or there are sounds that scare him. He wants to get back inside fast. Cookie Baby on the other hand, likes being outside, and is hardly ever frightened by new sounds and sights. My worry with her is how she likes to get in someone's vehicle when they are not looking. I fear that she will be thrown out miles away and have no way of knowing how to get back home. I'm always telling folks to keep their car doors shut, and the windows up. I can't tell that to everybody. It would not be right for me to do that. Still if it is a friend, I'll let them know how she is about such things, and to please be aware when she is outside.

Does Cookie Baby have a collar? Or any other way to identify her?
I would be scary and force her to stay home (I know I'm a bad girl just by such thought :psycho: )
