Gotta tell you all about Cookie Baby's latest trick.
As a person that does not fair well in cold climates, (like Air Conditioners provide), I have a baby blanket I wear over my shoulders a lot. Well Cookie Baby continues to amaze me with her intelligence! I'm sitting at my computer, working on a project, blanket on my shoulders as described above. Cookie Baby is on the easychair arm to my left. She reaches up with her paw, grabs a corner of the blanket, pulls it to herself, and crawls into the little pocket she makes out of that corner. Obviously, she was cold too! This is an 11 1/2+ year old cat, and she is still extremely smart for a cat.

I got a 12 yr old and a 10 yr old and they both still amaze me.   Their intelligence and curiosity are wonderful things to stimulate, but not allow to go unobserved.   They are using that big Walmart box for their sleeping apartment.  And for now, if one is ready to sleep but the other isn't in there with them, they go get him!  LOL!  Then they fur puddle together, purring, then serious SLEEP!   They  love awakening to the sight of me.  And even more when I utter the magic word as a question.  "Goodie?"  They are out in a flash headed for the kitchen.   I sometimes enjoy quietly getting their breakfast ready and set out when its almost time for them to wake.   They then eat, socialize with me, play...have water then relieve theirselves...then back in da box!  Heh!

Cleve, your life with Cookie Baby sounds a lot like what I could have had with my tiny girl,  Baby, back when I was a teen. But, I enlisted and my Mom threw Baby out.   Damn shame.   It totally lessened my caring as much for my Mother, frankly.

And thanks for that Eye Bleach, it was a help!   ;oD

I sleep in an easychair, because laying on a flat bed causes problems for me. My cats sleep next to me, one on either chair arm. Sometimes I wake and they are against each other, on the same side, copping some Zs, my arm laying across their backs. Can't help myself, I gotta pet them!
