Hello to everyone.

Some of you probably already know me, but I'd like to introduce myself.

My name is Mike, I am a 3D artist and geek from Italy.
I was born in 1980 so now I am 43 years old.

I have a Phd in history, I used to be a university researcher (3d graphics applied to cultural heritage, digital humanities) and once in a while I still write an academic paper, but now I am a freelancer.

I love drawing, reading, science fiction, comics, Transformers, action figures, Lego, retrogaming, 1980s and 1990s culture.

I am coowner of a small 3d art site with KrouserW and CountessaJay, two brilliant artists.

I started my journey in the world of computer graphics on Amiga in late 1980s/early 1990s. I create 3D models with 3dstudio Max since early 2000s and I rig figures (humans, robots and vehicles) with Poser. I like to experiment with game engines like Unreal 5.

Sometimes I release a freebie.

Answering to TheLufias, the site I co-own with Patrick and Jamie is in some way related to this one, a "cousin", because both originated as spin-offs of the old DSA.

Mine (now named ShiftersRevolution and focused on science fiction and 3D robots) used to be the EastWing of the old DSA and became a stand-alone community in 2014, but I am still in contact with Armorbeast.

I wrote that here on Fantasies Attic I already feel at home because I know several members and the site looks familiar.
I still use SMF too and I would never change it with a different software because I really like it.

Your themes are very nice, by the way.

After a couple of years of hiatus recently I became again an active creator of 3D models and soon I will release more freebies!

AB just posted in here a bit ago.  And yup...I was with DSA for a bit....

As with most sites we've had our ups and downs...but thanks to our members...we stay afloat. 

Enjoy our humble home and yes, I'm a freebieholic who now shares his finds with his great granddaughters who both are learning Daz and Poser....One loves Daz...the other Loves Poser...so it works out fine for my freebie hunt
