With those added it will bring me down to needing only fifteen (15) to have the entire collection.

Ten (10) from William Hartnell's time and down to five (5) for Patrick Troughton

Although I do already have reconstructions of all of the mentioned episodes, but would definitely prefer them to animate the missing parts and release them in a completed format.

Or like in the Power of the Daleks they animated the entire eight episodes.

:yippee: Went on the weekly trip to the book store oh by the way :luvbooks: 3024 :luvbooks:

And what do I find whilst browsing .... yes

The Macra Terror

... on sale and with my discount a mere $17.54

there was only one copy on display ... oops no there are no copies now :tearlaugh:

Man it is so much better having the entire episode animated, instead of telesnaps ... so very nice.

Bonus they did it in the original black and white plus a version in color.

Oh damn, during the introduction to the colony where they are taken to the refreshing center.

The Doctor in the reconstructions and audio was put in a machine to refresh, fresh pressed trousers, polished shoes and so forth.

"why would anyone want to see their reflection in their shoes for" (paraphrasing)

Then he jumps in the rough and tumble to go back to his normal disheveled state

Totally left out of this version.

:sigh:

The Dominators, The Krotons, Seeds of Death are all on Archive.org colourized and from what I've seen so far bits of other recovered Troughton series.

Not bad, although I am a purist, Patrick Troughton was originally in black and white and that is my preferred medium for his episodes.

Anyway,  new rumor "The Fury from the Deep" is going to be animated in 2020

If "The Faceless Ones" and "The Wheel in Space" are completed as promised then 2020 will be a great year for Dr. Who animations.

I keep hoping some New Zealand or Australian station will find the complete Troughton series on film.  Perhaps even the lost Hartnell episode.
I've seen "Tomb of the Cybermen" as an animation... Not bad.

I live in hope.

There has been a full and complete version of Tomb of the Cybermen with Troughton out for years.

Like the Doctor, I'm a bit out of temporal touch. LAtest I was aware of was a redoing of Tom Baker's Shada. the first time it was stills with Tom narrating, the second they actually found footage and strung it into an episode.
Pat Troughton was missing 8 episodes, some of which was reclaimed with animation.
Will Hartnell was missing 1 episode towards the end of his era, after "The Celestial Toymaker"
I have all those on VHS, and all the newer, From Paul Mcgann through Jodie Whittaker on DVD. self recorded.
My Peter Davidson set was recorded on a misaligned VCR, so I need to get my pro repaired.( near infinate adjustment for tracking)
Cheers
