Remember, the sum of 2 opposite faces is always 7!
Select each future face like on screen capture below.
Right click => Cut => 3      3
Immediately, you see points appearing.

We need to unselect all points, to connect some of them. Otherwise, you will have a diagonal connection, when we hope a grid.
Select by I button is the same kind of issue.

So once again here it's a manually selection, on all faces. Look the first screen capture below.
Unselect, and to make the same thing vertically, it's not possible to use the same way. Indeed, as lines separate an edge of face to the other, points connect with their direct neighbor.
To have the good way, it's necessary to select the 2 new edges in middle of each face. Then
Right click => Cut => 3      3
You obtain the second screen capture.
Add to your selection the points of edges, and Right click => Connect

Unselect all.
To have regular circles, we need to select all necessary parts in dice faces (again the sum of 2 opposite faces is always 7).
Right Click => Insert
Click twice on S button, to transform intern squares in circles.
Right click => Vertex color to choose a material color.
Right click => Extrude => Normal   and enter a bit circles in dice.

Unselect, then select all the square.
It's not an obligation, but we can use S button, once or twice, all depends of the first step with Tighten.

(yes on my final result I made without the "vertex color" to show how the 'circles' are inside)

Excellent! :thumb_up:
I didn't know too, but I looked some tutorials of David Brinnen a saw it's possible. This is a difference with Hexagon, because for the moment when I smooth something in Hexagon, I have the complete object following the same path :thud:
