3D format converters

Yeah, I'm a weakling! :blush2: :blush2: :blush2:

I just paid €14.34 ($15.69) for a piece of software I've been using for the last 10 years (well, for its updated version, to be honest  ).
My firm decision was to stay with the free demo version I was testing (maybe a little retouched to last longer than 30 days) when a message popped up: it read more or less "this demo won't expire after 30 days, it won't start nagging you, it will stay fully functional indefinitely; paying for the license will be exclusively a thing between you and your honor".

How can you cheat on people like this???  :cry2:

It is an excellent program to read and convert most 3D formats - though I've been using it not only as a format converter but also (and perhaps mainly) as a quick object viewer - double-click on a 3D file and its contents pops up in no time.

They call it AccuTrans 3D and you may find it at http://www.micromouse.ca/.

It's a portable: you don't have to install it, just running it will do.
The new version seems to have several new features the prehistoric one I've been using so far is lacking - for one thing a help file to tell you how to use the software without suffering weeks of trial and error: guessing and experimenting is cool, but only as long as you have plenty of time to spare. Do you? :tearlaugh:

The flip side of the coin is that it only works in Windows - any version of it, from WinXP to Win10, but only Windows

Here is a list of places I have used in the past for converting files:

101 Convert

File Extensions Org

Mesh Convert

Voronator

Bear File Convertor

Some work great...some soso...depends on what you need....I'm sure there are more out there....but these worked for what I needed...
