Giveaway of the Day

Giveaway of the Day

Welcome, and how may I help you?

Come visit with all in here, have some coffee or your favorite beverage, and have loads of fun. The bar staff and keeper are always here to fill your orders. This is our gathering place where we will share greetings, pass secrets, gossip, and enjoy each other's company.

Jherrith has agreed to fire up the grill on the weekends with some of his tasty specials.....and the COFFEE will always be hot and fresh, especially with Fafnir and his bevy of waitresses.

Ooohhhh I know some sort of big weather change is under way.  The barometer is staying very close to 30.1 inches of mercury these last few days.  But, normal is 20 to 29 'ish inches.  I think this and the temps in the 50's is why my bones are all aching on me.   Tonight might be a good one to take one benadryl and just sleep a long time.  Nah, I am sleepy enough already.   So it is just time to lay back down and snooze again!
Sir Knight, THAT bit on the MAYA ruins was so timely.  It is on the Science and Discovery channels too, BUT those shows did not tie the Maya in so solid to the Olmec as your article does.   And my personal thought on that is the Olmec did not die out.  They kinda became the Maya!  :D
And isn't that LIDAR something!   I love what it does clearing out the vegetation so the landscape is clear.   Ah, and Oak Island's Rick and Marty Lagina are now using LIDAR as well as some xray device identifying materials.  More accurate, more versatile and less destructive than a mass spectrometer.
Pretty soon we won't need MagneticAnomalyDetection gear to detect ferrous metals against the gravity well.  AND it will detect all kinds of metals, not just ferrous!

OH and we now have LIDAR units small enough to send up on fairly small 4 rotor drones!

Well, Fafnir, to a 327' High Endurance Cutter, 10 foot seas is just great for sleeping.   30 foot seas is a different matter.  Totally.

I do my best at staying warm and do succeed so there is that and "Good morning" to the rest of the denizens, inmates, residents, and lurkers in the Attic
