Well...... the point system was separate but connected to the store.  Though the doors are closed, the gnome keeps count.

Damp and pre-hurricaney, not too bad for mowing the lawn.

for the celebratory fireworks, all I could get was the audio.   Stuck my head out the door to see whazzup with that, and it were raining.   The fireworks were getting launched right up into the clouds.   They showed a bit of internal lighting, but that was all.  So, I came in and went to bed.

Again.  :D   :woohoo:

Been spending a relaxing day reading since it is a holiday.

What better way to spend ones birthday

Was putting away some books given to me because they wanted to get rid of some of theirs :thud: can't imagine something like that, but who am I to judge.

One is a paperback copy of one I have in hardback.

Piers Anthony; On a Pale Horse: The Incarnations of Immortality

A series of eight volumes that I read as they came out this one was released in 1983.

All I can say is that in re-reading it certainly does put todays world events in perspective .... to the point of you have got to be kidding me.

Will not say more least you think me mad ... oh wait :iminnocent:

Been at it for a while and am 60 pages from the conclusion. In other words about another hour till finished ... :tearlaugh:

Indeed young lady take care of yourself.

Oh great I just finished book one of the Incarnations of Immortality and just picked up volume two, even though I have three other books I am currently in the middle of plus another three anxiously waiting in the wings to be read.

:sigh:

Indeed volume five I am remembering bits and pieces as I started "Bearing an Hourglass", sort of seem to remember that in volume five Nature got a bit "ticked" and brought rain to the whole planet to the point of biblical proportions.
