Oh today was a real winner for the books this time.

Got up at midnight to get ready to go in to work. Got there at 2:30 AM and the communications director pulled up at the same time so was able to get a game plan together by the time the other guy from the prime site showed up it was time to unload and get in the building.
Well, not certain how long ye ole boss thought this was going to take but I got a call from him "checking in" and he had the nerve to ask if I was done as I had been at it for a while now.

"Uh no"

Fourteen new consolettes, new power to be identified, grounds attached and two each data cables per consolettes with a damn proprietary pin out from Motorola. So 28 cables, cut to fit, pinned out, tested and then on to the next step, which was the ST doing the back end programming and confirming talk groups and functionality.

Did get breakfast from the customer for free so that was a win, so made sure that we kept her happy at the end of the day for if the lady in charge is not happy no one is happy.

Even being single I know that much.

Anyway finished up around 4:00 PM with the install, clean up and assorted loose end details that others seldom take into account when quoting jobs.

I am so beat, thank goodness that I have a four day weekend .... and a big to any who try to call or talk to me.

AMEN, J!   Been a major week for you.   Benadryl does calm those sting pains, eases the swelling, and often gets one to that 'soft and dreamy' state.  You can even enjoy a bad movie!   

Curious, in Stormbringer and W10, did you have any problem with the scroll wheel 'bounce'?   It reverses direction while you scroll.   That is driving me nuts over here!

You have no idea, the bad news is that I got two work related calls today

   You charged them to going rate of 150 dollars an answer right!

I remember what that was like growing up, with my Dad getting calls from his job and then I got calls from my job too.   That, I do not miss!   

USB 3.2 gen 1=5gbps, USB 3.2 gen 2=10gbps.  USB 2.0=480mbps?   Plugging the mouse into one of the USB 2.0 ports stopped the mouse bounce.   Seems the overpowered super USB ports don't do simple so well.  Heh!

I now feel like a human with a bad ass toy!  :D
