Genesis 3 Female

As signaled by Milos, the character Genesis 3 Female is available for free in your Daz product library, at the moment where that message is written.
But probably she works only in DAZ Studio 4.8+ version.

Several french people have just started to talk of the G3F (on Renderosity) and:
- no compatibility with Poser
- autofit only with G2F clothes. Not with Genesis clothes.

The Iray Shaders only work properly in Iray.  DAZ 4.8 comes with quite a few.  Here's my G3F:

Nice, I haven't seen those DS4.8 Iray default shaders, but I just downloaded all shaders I could get from ShareCG. Although I am not sure if I will be able to work with Iray somehow this new line of DAZ products seems to be aimed more at Iray so I will try to work with them too. Though I have to say for me render time is a lot slower and I am not sure yet how I will be able to work with it, maybe just simple things like one character and few props :)

This tutorial shows how to import G3F into Poser. I'm not sure how well it works and I won't be trying but maybe Amaranth or Aelin could see if it works for them.

To try, i need probably to update DS4; my version is stable to work in (not really for renders) and conserve runtime of DS3. Then i leave Amaranth try this of she wants.
But often, when you import other characters to work in other softwares, files are more biggest. I read this for Genesis i think.

Otherwise, it's probably interesting if you would work absolutly with G3F.

Yes, IRAY takes forever and a day to render as do several other special lighting programs. And generally speaking these programs require fairly powerful machines and graphics cards to run...which assumes that everyone has this stuff and everyone doesn't.


You don't have to build your scene all at once gulan. You can build your background and render that -- even in parts and pieces if you need to. If you do it in parts build it from the background props first - like walls, and other props in the back. Then build toward the front, keeping in mind where you want your figure to be. SAVE YOUR LIGHTS, so you can use them again when you do your figure. Then save those as .pngs if you can and sandwich them together in your art software in layers and merge the layers together to make your background with a sky or whatever behind it.

Once you've done that, then put that as a background in a new build. Load your figure, pose and dress; load your lights you save from before, and render over your background. Save that as a .png or .psd (if you can). I don't do DAZ so I don't know what the saving options are.

Genesis figures weigh more than the Gen4 figures anyway, Aelin. I think they're about 20 mb heavier.

DAZ saves out PNG and jpg.
