Making a Personal Gallery/Album -- updated

These image show you how to make the personal gallery. This gallery is for items that you want to be seen by yourself only (if you wish by adding a password) or an album(s) you wish to divide your images into so others may see them too.

They can be used to hold ALL of your uploaded images EXCEPT THE CONTEST ONES instead of putting them into a main gallery album.

IF you want to see ALL images that you have uploaded to the gallery then you just need to go to your latest image and click on your name. You will then be greeted with a window showing all your images  link on the left side and all the comments you have done on the right.

Bear in mind that will show you ALL your images, the "My gallery" link under the clock is for showing you the images in your personal albums only not the others through out  the gallery.

How to Create an Album

1. Click "Create/order my albums"
2. Click "New Album"
3. give it a name
4. click "OK"


You should return to the same window and hovering over the name of your album you should see a small red "edit" link---click it to do the settings.

The next window is for setting the properties for your album:

Usually you just need to worry about the ones with the yellow arrow.

1. set your album to the one in the image so all can see it OR use the other settings in that drop down menu for making it visible to your eyes only

2. choose to have it password protected--not needed -- self preference only IF you do choose this it at times has been known to cause problems with your other uploaded images, but it will give you a place to enter a password if you choose. This is not retrievable like all other passwords you choose.

3. set YES for viewers to post comments (only registered members may comment no guests are allowed to do anything)

4. file rating is shown but not activated anywhere in the gallery, so as not to influence judging in contests

5. click the "update album" button and it will bring you back to the same page showing you a green section telling you the update is successful.

 then you can go to HOME link to start browsing images and uploading your own to either the main gallery albums or your personal one(s).
