a woman from italy was stopped from going to switzerland by train and only just avoided the lockdown because of dual nationality arrived in uk and was not tested or even questioned. the government have been in meetings all day and said they might do something next week???

Yesterday, our governement always was saying "no, we won't close coffees, restaurants, pubs...". Tonight, at almost 8PM for us, they announced officially all restaurants, coffees, cinemas... will be close at midnight. Everyone has only 5 hours to prepare oneself. Sweet, isn't it? Specially when tomorrow, we'll go to vote for city hall mayors
But we aren't that close. Last days they passed meeting maximum umbers to 5000, then 1000, then 500 then in the same 24 hours to 100.
If I'm correct, hotels will have to close their doors too, like a man is telling that on the radio. What for people in their rooms? Put in streets in the middle of night?
Schools are all closed until Spring holidays (we have 3 zones, don't know what is the exact date they think on), when always at the beginning of the week it was not a solution, governement was saying "no no and no".

Concerning UK neighbors, and I don't know if it's true or not, I heard than government was with idea than a solution will be put in place when 80% of their population will be reached by the virus. To obtain an immunity against that mess.
If it's true, be ready to have very few old people, and people with health issues when it will be over.

And I just read that there is a vaccine for it now, and that Italy has been getting the first batch of treatments and already over 1,000 have been cured and the number is rising

Already a vaccine seems to me a little short in time since the beginning of the pandemy. Specially when specialists of all cuntries told no vaccine before end of the year in the best case.

And the article forgets to talk of Italian docs crying in some hospitals when they had to choose between patients to help those with best possibly longevity.

Yesterday, March 13th, it wasn't 8500 people reached in Italia, but more than 11 000. And more than 1000 death people.
