edge chromium

So, if you didn't follow the talk about edge chromium in our Coffee Shop, know that mess is forced by m$ since somewhere this year. No way to refuse it.
My Mom was a victim, I guess it will be sooner they'll try on me too.
Knowing not everyone wants to use edge, nor to have it turning in the background of the comp.

Our talk in Coffee Shop started here and Noshoba, Radkres, Thelufias and Agent0013 answered with some solutions.

I found tonight something else, like I'm not yet touched by. It's a french site - or at least the french part of a site.
I just used the last solution, named "Bloquer l’installation automatique d’Edge Chromium sur Windows 7, 8 et 10" [translation, even if it's easy to understand: to block the automatic installation of Edge chromium on Windows 7, 8 and 10] and jumped inside Regedit.
Despite my Mom had that mess installed on her comp, I indicated that to her, and she willdo tomorrow.

So, click on Windows button + R
Write regedit and click OK
Look for that path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE => SOFTWARE => Microsoft
Create yourself the key EdgeUpdate by right click New => key
In the right side column, right click and value DWORD (32 bit)
Name it DoNotUpdateToEdgeWithChromium
Double click on the name above, and give to it the value 1
Close the register editor.
Restart the computer.

I already have edge on my comp, like it's forced inside W10 in place of explorer.
The same for my Mom. And everyone else having W10.
So I don't see the point to have a new edge in more of the old one, specially when I'm not using it. Except stealing place on the disk.
If we want to use their mess, we are able to search on their official iste to take the update if we want it. No need to force.

So no, I blocked in regedit, and will leave it like that.
And if ever m$ has a black list from people/comps not desiring their thing, I don't care.

Even my W8.1 is out of web. And when it is on in very rare times, I blocked the m$ updates for it.
