Monkey Bread
« on: April 13, 2010, 06:10:18 PM »
OK...this is just a fun one which I've tried several times and it's become a hit when I have company or kids around.....

It's a cheap and easy way to make sweet cinnamon bread morsels.

I was going to call it Monkey Balls....but I didn't think anyone would have read the post then  :tearlaugh:

Put your aprons on.....(pssst "J"...don't forget the hair net....I have no worries there)

Here we go my little monkeys:

INGREDIENTS:

(2) cans (7.5 ounces each) of refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (Butter flavored biscuits can be used for an extra-rich flavor)

3/4 cup of sugar

1 tbsp of cinnamon

1/2 cup of butter

(As you can tell....these are all HEALTHY items)  :java:  :peep:

DIRECTIONS:

1) Cut the biscuits into quarters and place in a large bowl

2) Add the sugar and cinnamon.  Pour melted butter over the mixture and stir well

3) Pour the mixture into a 13 x 9" pan or a fluted pan and bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 20 minute, or until golden brown.

4) Drizzle 1/2 cup of hot maple syrup over the top if desired.

SERVES 8.....depending who your cooking them for.....(I have to make double batches cause that 8 servings just doesn't cut)

Apron ... what apron ...

Put the hair net on?

This do sound pretty good though
