As Jherr set this up to be a "venting place",
Here's my rant:
Traveling about the net, enjoying the content, had to an "edge thing". Firefox is set up very strict for security, edge, well that's why there's a flush and delete.Closed edge, it hesitated, clicked to close again, as it dropped, accifdentilly started Studio.
Studio connected for about a second, no more. Thought I prevented any unwanted updates or alterations.  Accepted a test from a friend, logged off. started Studio......
My interface was gone.... just a cloud based query...... not even my libraries or settings..... the interface I spent over 4 houres to set up for my workflow was wiped, the intergface that I've had since Studio 3.1, which survived all the upgrades to 4,15. was summarily executed.
One Second....
Thank the powers Poser is locked behind a firewall. if bondware did simular ( which seems likely considering they don't sell Poser, but lease it)

Thanks Rad, but I prefer to run my high memory programmes offline. That might work if I wanted to throw my laptop through the nearest wall. Resetting would remove, now, 9.5 houres of configuring the interface. which would result in a psychotic break that would destroy any electronics within 25 ft.

   I would look into making a Backup of the files this link points to is what I was thinking you might find useful.

From what I read, this would be viable if I had install manager. never installed it as I prefer manual installs.   I'm certain it may help someone else though.. so on their behalf..... Thank You Rad. 8 )

But of course Jherr, though I do like to dabble in other progs.Poser's great for setup render of scenes and animation. but errrmmm... not so much for creating meshes.
Poser is my prefferred, made obvious when I say to the screen "This is much easier in Poser"

A - absolutely - MEN !!!!!!!!
Funny thing happened at the End of June 2020, just as I was installing all my 'art' programs.   I had been given a choice of operating systems....that being....install Windows 10 Professional - OR - use a different motherboard and CPU.  HM.  Not so Possible at this point in the $1,300.00 game!   Bought DL'd and installed ye olde Win 10 Pro 64.   Ah right that one only comes in 64 bit amounts!   Ok, July 01, 2020 pushed the START button on the ol desktop mid tower case.  Ureka, it runs!  First Time Too!  Yippee!   Joy, spend a couple hours chasing down and installing all driver updates and the ONE major Win 10 update...then into registry to hack two bytes preventing all forced windows automatic updates.  Ptttthhhhh!  M$!   THEN install my olde DS 3.10 Advanced ($271.95 for that one dammit!)  Which can read Poser content just fine up TO PP 11.   Made sure to install PP 2014 next, complete with latest updates.  Then PP 11.1, THEN installed DS 4.10 (newest).  Oh CRAP!  It refuses to even open up fully as it cannot LOG IN TO The dASS Content Management System!  And THAT won't even install unless the dASS Install Mangler is RUNNING AND logged into DAZ3D!   This is NOT a joke, a bad joke, a RUDE joke or any sort of pulling anyone's leg(s).    THAT HAPPENED.  THREE TIMES!  And  it showed me that dASS rewrote ALL the dASS owned sodware to cause Carrara, DS 4.0 and higher to behave in same way.  Don't know about Hexagon or Bryce 7.1 yet.  Haven't bothered with them at this point.   But can you see what dASS is doing?  That they actually DID that is alarming to say the least.  I have uninstalled everything that required their CMS/DIM to operate.  So far that be just DS 4.0 and up and Carrara 8 and up.
Despite their being everyone's biggest sponsor, they are also something....else.
