How very droll went out to go to work this morning and started ye ole truck up and what do I get as a gift.

Low tire pressure alarm (11#)

:whatthe: got out and looked and sure enough flatter then, ...  well one of those

An hour later after I get it changed looking at the tire I see a gouge in the tread and a nail in it as well .... I loathe Flagler county with great intensity.

Since that is where I was at yesterday, that is the only place it could have occurred. I am just surprised I made it home without having this become an issue while trying to get home.

Someone is definitely looking out for me

If it wasn't for the gouge in the tread they would have patched it for me, and apparently ye ole Lease plan that manages the vehicles doesn't even flinch, as they have done it already to one of the tires on the truck and allowed it.

You are so right on that...sidewall they won't repair.  Mine was right in between the tire treads.......

Liability issues with a sidewall puncture. As it "might" have damaged the sidewall threads. When I was a tyrebuster years ago, the rule was no patch sidewall as it may blowout violently.
Cheers

Indeed I would not allow a sidewall patch just for that reason.  Tread as in between them not a major issue in my mind and that is where the problem was on the first tire.

The second though had tread shaved off plus a nail so yes, for me a new tire makes sense

Okay, scary part I added up the W-2 for my jobs and was surprised by the final number before taxes.

Granted I plan according to my take home but still the before number was scary.

As you might have guessed there are days that I feel like the proverbial mushroom.

No information until the "oh by the way moment"

Well, yesterday while sorting out just exactly which style of connector is available for the 7/8" coaxial I have and or need for an upcoming project I get the phone call saying oh by the way I will be out of town all week and I need you to go to a kick off meeting over at Disney.

Okay ... Well, I am no longer in the dark now just the one kickoff meeting indicated that is is another "xx" projects all on the board to be completed this year, in addition to the one I did a site walk for at the end of Jan.

Then what to my surprise I get invited to a phone conference call right before I leave that meeting/site walk for yet another project for the boats.

Sat in on that one while driving back to the shop and I guess no one could hear me, but I could hear them just fine I got volun-told that I will be going to Miami for a site survey of the one boat down there and it sounded like I was getting volun-told that I will be doing another maybe in New Orleans?

 :whatthe:

And before I forget let us recall that on the 21st I go out on the first boat for the weekend to do the first install.

I think February is to short of a month to cram all this in during the last two weeks.

 :iminnocent:

Just saying

Another tidbit, from the class I teach apparently starting in the fall semester they are cutting class by two nights because ye ole coordinators need more time to process the paperwork before the Christmas break.

:thud: And me with a new textbook starting in the fall semester,  we now have to adjust the pace of the material, to still cover the important stuff, have hands on practice and time for the mid-term and final exams.

Sounds like crazy talk to me
