And serendipity struck while I was in the book store yesterday.

Browsing music and video when what do I see but several CD's of music by The Trans Siberian Orchestra

Pick up a random two hoping I would get the one that has the very popular song on it.

  serendipity won

Quite certain, I scared or frightened a dozen straights while driving back, because when the song came on the volume went to max and I started banging on poor steering wheel in a chaotic fashion (to others, to me I was in sync) with all the windows down so as to share the tune.

Then played it a second time

Well, tis just another reason why I dislike turning ye ole computers off.

Finally got around to installing the three new (free) UPS from work. Powered everything off and then found that the one cord was not long enough to reach the outlet, as I have the two UPS on separate circuits, one for each computer.

Missed by 8" damn guess it will not sit in the rack as I first desired. Standing it on the edge in between the desk and back wall of the staircase did work so one down, the other piece of cake since that receptacle is right next to my rack.

Turned that one on and talk about some nail biting although the computer turned on the hard drive was not doing a damn thing as it never booted up, multiple attempts to no avail. Brought down the other spare computer and I do not know what was done to it last time I had it on but it was a complete nope not working  .... blue screen of death multiple times regardless what I did in the Boot menu.

Put the original back in and tried once again this time success.

Turned Stormbringer back on and once more get the damn we need an internet connection to renew your lease. That crap still annoys me to no end. I went off to do something else and now I know what the damn thing is doing if connected.
The damn thing is talking to Renderosity as I had seven (7) notices about rubbish that R'osity is doing or what is on sale and so forth.

I use Poser to attempt to do art, not get pestered with notices, ads, announcements.

Took the spare UPS and went over to the TV/home entertainment center and got it on UPS back up power now.

Took the other one upstairs and now not only is the third tower on UPS but so is my router. Started to set that PC up for me to be able to do work up there now. Got the internet part worked out and have Office and Acrobat installed so I can now do work on the inventory and syllabus upstairs as well. Even took the old entertainment center up there and it too is hooked up for music.

All I need to do now is network them all together so I can share files and programs across the two generic computers.

The boring part is that I had to empty my truck out so I can go to see the old man tomorrow as he has some clocks to pick up as he is downsizing.

Anyone want to buy a 4000 sq ft house on 10 acre with a pond in the center in lovely Geneva Fl. it is only $500,000.00

I got up one morning to find my older boy was sleeping in the younger boy's bed (the younger one is at college).  When I asked why, he said that the beeping wouldn't let him sleep.  The Verizon router is in the closet in his room.  I had a UPS on it.  The battery had died.  The UPS wanted to be sure that everyone within hearing distance knew that the battery had died.  Fortunately the walls are pretty thick.

Well if sponge painted walls are your Thing My Mother would be happy to Redo your house! O.O Not as bad as My Friends wife who is an Artist who will pull up your Carpet and go all industrial on a brand new house! O.O
